KPU stands for academic freedom in the tradition of the democratic spirit and encourages creative thinking and the free, unfettered exchange of ideas on the part of students and faculty of the university. The university does not, however, encourage the students or instructors to engage in any experimental research, treatment, or publication of ideas which may violate ethical, moral, or regulatory standards, or any other applicable statutes and laws, keeping in mind the physician’s primary dictum: “First, do no harm.”
